The Finca stands in a valley of its own surrounded by olive groves, guaranteeing unique privacy. With local amenities close by it is a perfect holiday destination. The local village of Fuente Del Conde is only a short (5 min) drive away or a 20 minute stroll past the goat farm, sheep and peacocks. Nearby (20 min drive) a 9th Century Moorish citadel rises above the spectacular hillside Pueblo Blanco of Iznajar, an atmospheric and increasingly popular part of the itinerary for visitors to this part of Real Spain.

Mike & Emma bought this magnificent but neglected farmhouse and finca in 2002. After two years spent building and refurbishing faithfully to the original design and with tasteful modernisation, we opened for rental in 2004. Now we live here with our small children from Autumn to Spring and in the Summer we welcome guests to our beautiful home. We are continually improving and developing El Almendrillo. 2010 is our seventh and most successful year and we are already looking forward to doing everything we can to create a perfect relaxing environment for our guests in Summer 2011. Ancient wooden doors lead you into the courtyard which is perfect for a wedding, anniversary or birthday celebration as well as sunbathing, lunching under the shade of the beautiful tree or watching the swallows swoop into the barn. Bring an easel or a sketch pad and paint the Sierra Nevada from the courtyard balcony.

The expansive 17 metre by 7 metre (55 foot by 25 foot) swimming pool with superb views of the valley completes the dream combination of luxury in a unique rural setting. The pool is gated and located at the western extremity of the Finca a short walk from the houses, equipped with WC and shower on the poolside terrace.
